What is a UUID?
A UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) is a 128-bit number used to uniquely identify information in computer systems. They are also known as GUIDs (Globally Unique Identifiers) in the Microsoft ecosystem.
The probability of finding a duplicate UUID v4 is extremely small. It would take generating 1 billion UUIDs every second for about 85 years to have a 50% probability of creating a duplicate.
Version 4 Explanation
This tool generates Version 4 UUIDs. These are completely random (pseudorandom) and don't depend on the network address (MAC address) or time, unlike other versions.
